China’s ethnic traditional sports play an important role in the world sport culture. As a city where multi-ethnic people gather and develop harmoniously，Beijing has achieved rapid development in its ethnic traditional sports，and embodies the following characteristics. The excavation of ethnic traditional sports has been intensified，and different features are highlighted in different regions. Ethnic festivals constitute an important impetus，and the effect of cultural communication is remarkable. Project promotion channels are increasingly diversified，and the guarantee mechanism has been constantly improved. Then the report summarizes the typical experience of the development of Cuqiu，Martial arts，Dragon dance and Shuttlecock in Beijing. At last，the report proposes that the development of China’s ethnic traditional sports should follow the following path. It should make the institutional guarantee of sustainable development more perfect，and establish the cooperative mechanism of multi-agent participation. China’s ethnic traditional sports should be reformed and innovated constantly，and realize the integration with tourism and leisure in the exploiting process. It should further explore the cultural connotation of characteristic projects and expand international exchanges with more powerful brand.
