Based on the data of the survey of the working youth，college students and entrepreneurial youth group in guangzhou，this research shows the overall rates of entrepreneurship of the youth group are higher，but the willingness of starting businesses is very different among social groups. Entrepreneurial motivation of Guangzhou youth is driven by individual pursuit of self-realization and freedom of wealth. The constraints of objective conditions （fund），lack of ability and experience，risk aversion，entrepreneurship education and lack of work experience are the main reasons for inhibiting the willingness to start a business. Guangzhou young entrepreneurs have higher education levels and are dominated by opportunity entrepreneurship. They believe that market capacity and economic capital are the main factors of success of entrepreneurship. They have a high evaluation of the institutional environment of entrepreneurship.
