2019 is a crucial year for the reform and development of China’s basic education. The past 70 years have witnessed the twists and turns of the basic education，and also its extraordinary achievements. Breakthroughs were made in preschool education，the level of fairness and quality of compulsory education saw a great improvement，the reform of ordinary high school education methods were promoted as a whole，decisive achievements were made in poverty alleviation for education，major steps were also taken in the construction of the professional teaching team，and the results of education governance was convincing. What’s more，family education has received great attention of the whole society，and the collaborative education system with schools，families，and society as participators was gradually improved. The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council have issued a series of documents to make strategic deployment，overall planning and systematic design for the future basic education，which is expected to be prosperous and promising.
