Building a resilient city is the critical strategy and approach for urban safety governance. This article introduces the background and current situation of London’s vision as a resilient city，points out the main shocks and stresses that challenges London’s future as a resilient city，and introduces London’s future actions to build a resilient city from three aspects：people resilience projects，such as food safety issues；place resilience projects，such as zero-carbon and decarbonized infrastructure；process resilience projects，such as countering terrorism，strengthening city cooperation and collaboration，and establishing a global emergency network. Finally，on the basis of summarizing London’s urban resilience strategies，three policy recommendations are put forward for China’s urban safety governance.
