In 2018-2019，China’s marine undertakings in various fields continued to show the development trend of steady progress and precise governance，specifically manifested in：the comprehensive governance of the ocean presented in an all-round way；the institutionalization of marine undertakings continued to advance；the development of marine undertakings was more planned and long-term，and international cooperation had diversified characteristics in marine fields and spaces. At the same time，although the overall development of China’s marine industry is stable，it still faces many difficulties and challenges. For instance，the tackling of marine science and technology still needs to be continued，the comprehensive management of the marine undertakings needs to be continuously promoted，the institutionalization of the marine undertakings needs to be accelerated，and the development of the marine undertakings needs to further increase social participation. Therefore，sustainable marine social development still requires strengthening governance in many links.
