Shizhu Tujia Autonomous County has a natural ecological environment，favorable policy environment，and strong market demand，which lay a solid foundation for the development of Kangyang industry. By combining with the sustainable development capability assessment of Kangyang industry，this paper evaluates the development of “6 + 1” industry system，including tourism，food，recuperate，culture，sports，living condition and Kangyang manufacturing. It is found that the development direction of local Kangyang industry support lies in emphasis on producing high-quality tourism products，cultivating well-known brands and leading enterprises，strengthening pharmaceutical manufacture and rehabilitation service industry foundation，highlighting the characteristics of exercise Kangyang，and taking the lead to develop industry standards. In general，developing Kangyang industry in Shizhu County has a first-mover advantage，and has begun to take shape in the territory. However，the development of Kangyang industry in Shizhu is incomplete，and the development focus is not prominent enough. Thus，efforts should be made to pay special attention to the human resources and business environment，attract high-quality enterprises and projects，and innovatively cooperate with insurance enterprises to guarantee Kangyang consumption，and promote Kangyang industry to development better and faster.
