The central Committee of the Communist Party of China （CPC）with General Secretary Xi Jinping at its core has taken a forward-looking approach and made major decisions to give full play to the supporting and driving role of the Beijing Sub-Center and promote the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region in the new historical conditions. For six years，under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council as well as the national leading group for Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei，following the general secretary’s remarks as the basis，Beijing has been endeavoring to integrate its development with the nation’s overall strategy，firmly grasp the relationship between the capital and the city，giving and taking，as well as “one core” and “two wings”. It focuses on reliving Beijing’s non-capital functions and making full use of the “one core” influence and continues to strengthen its connection with Tianjin and Hebei.
