This issue reviews the two iconic stages of the improvement of rural living environment in Xindu District since 2018. It is found that the most characteristic experience in the process of improving the rural living environment in Xindu District lies in its taking “integration” as the fulcrum，making the action of improving the rural living environment as an opportunity to integrate the economic，social and environmental development with each other and coordinate development，so as to maximize the overall effect of rural human settlements environments improvement. Based on the experience and the problems of Xindu District，this paper gives four aspects of policy recommendations（make scientific project design，strengthen policy support，encourage the general public，strictly monitor and examine）to promote and improve the practical experience of the pilot region.
