As a common method of hospital evaluation，tracer methodology has brought positive and far-reaching influence to the on-site hospital evaluation after more than ten years of exploration and application. Based on the practice of Guangzhou Asclepius in the accreditation of nearly one hundred star-evaluated hospitals，this paper sorts out the basic theory of tracking methodology and its application and development in hospital evaluation. At the same time，it conducts instructive exploration and thinking about how to give full play to the application value of tracking inspection in hospital evaluation based on the practice of Guangzhou Asclepius star evaluation.
