In the context of reinvigorating China through promoting cultural progress，national reading has become the national and individual focus. As public cultural service organization，library is obligated to be responsible for protecting residents’ reading rights，stimulating residents’ interests in reading and enhancing the reading atmosphere in the whole society. This paper takes “enjoy reading” reading party of Xiangyang City Library as the object，gives suggestions on how to achieve the sustainable development of “enjoy reading” reading party based on the demand of readers in Xiangyang City Library and current strategies of “enjoy reading” reading party，hoping it to play a greater role in promoting the national reading and building the scholarly society.
