The education of revolutionary tradition is an important subject of social education in our country. The education of revolutionary tradition can inspire the masses，especially the young people，to inherit the revolutionary tradition and to devote themselves to the Chinese dream of revitalizing China and realizing the great rejuvenation. Taking old revolutionary areas，such as red revolutionary relics，revolutionary museums and memorial gardens in Macheng City，Hubei Province，as red educational resources，this paper analyses the significance of strengthening the revolutionary traditional education and carrying forward the red culture and the spirit of Dabie Mountain for the development of spiritual civilization and economic development of old revolutionary areas in China nowadays.
