In view of the poor reading condition of farmers，the General Administration of Press and Publication launched the construction of farmer’s bookstore in 2007. So far，it has basically covered the administrative villages of the whole country，and to a certain extent，it has solved the reading difficulties of farmers. Based on the investigation of farm bookstores in 12 counties of Guilin City in Guangxi，this paper analyses the current operation，management and service of farmer’s bookstores，and puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions for the future development of former’s bookstore on the guarantee for the main body of construction，the improvement of service capacity and the integration with county-level public libraries.
