Developing the metropolitan area is not only the breakthrough of the new mechanism of regional coordinated development，but also an important means to reshape the urban regional pattern. Chengdu metropolitan area is trying to integrate the resources in the region and promote the high quality development of the metropolitan area economy by giving full play to the comparative advantage of industry. This paper takes the member cities of Chengdu Metropolitan Circle as the research object，and analyzes the general situation，evolution and characteristics of the industrial development of each member city. Based on the relevant data of three industrial structure，this paper analyzes the degree of industrial synergy in Chengdu metropolitan area by measuring the similarity coefficient of industrial structure. From the dynamic point of view，this paper grasps the structural similarity development of Chengdu metropolitan area and then put forward the policy and suggestion of the industrial development of Chengdu metropolitan area.
