In 2019，the total revenue of Guangdong catering industry exceeded RMB 40 Billion for the first time，and the total annual revenue reached RMB 430.723 Billion，accounting for 9.2% of the national market share；The revenue growth of Guangdong’s catering industry revived its momentum and returned to more than 10% again，achieving a high-speed growth of 11%，which was 1.6% higher than the average growth of the national catering industry，3% higher than the total consumption of Guangdong’s retail products，and nearly 5% higher than Guangdong’s GDP，showing the leading role of driving the social and economic development of Guangdong. Through the contrastive analysis of the data of catering development，annual registration of enterprises and the proportion of individual industrial and commercial households in 21 prefectures and cities of Guangdong Province，the potential problems and opportunities of industrial development in various regions were found out. The government and industry associations actively integrated social resources，stimulated the vitality of the catering market，organized the implementation of a series of activities，such as Guangzhou Asian Food Festival，Guangdong Food Festival，business model forum，etc.；In collaboration with big data resources of all parties，the research results including the report of top 100 catering enterprises in Guangdong，the development report of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area，the big data report of Guangzhou catering were released. With keen market insight and high-standard quality management，the majority of personnel engaged in catering have innovated the management mode，returned to the essence of catering，and jointly promoted the harmonious，sustainable and healthy development of the catering industry in Guangdong.
