Maglev traffic is an intelligent control transportation mode with non-contact broad applications by using information technology. The development and current situation of maglev traffic is summarized，and the technical advantages and economic value is analyzed. Its special integrated structure makes train operation safer，and operation is not easily affected by bad weather，relatively simpler operation management and wider application scenarios，and also provides huge economic and social value. Finally，the significance of developing maglev traffic and its supporting in urban development are put forward.
