This case reviews the leap-forward development of Ningbo’s medical and health services in the past 70 years in New China. From the three aspects of lack of medical care and medicine to everyone’s medical insurance，from gastrectomy to liver and kidney transplantation，and from queuing registration to intelligent medical care，this case illustrates that Ningbo’s health system has changed from weak to strong，and has walked out of a path of development of medical and health services with Ningbo characteristics，providing a Ningbo model for the country to solve the difficult problems of medical reform.
