As an important means and method to solve the problem of urban flooding，the concept of Sponge City has attained further attention from the national level since it was proposed. The three ministries developed two batches of pilot projects cooperatively. and formed remarhable effects that the relevant technical standards have been gradually improved. In addition，related departments conducted training and publicity work in various aspects about Sponge City，which insert this notion deeply in public mind and the Sponge City construction has been increasingly popularized in the nationalwide scale. Meanwhile，the pilot projects stimulate the industrial market of the Sponge City，such as the study of new materials and the equipment manufacturing.
