Since the founding of the people’s Republic of China 70 years ago，China has gradually established the world’s largest safety net for people’s livelihood. In 2019，China has made reform progress in many fields of social security，including pension security，medical security，social insurance，social welfare and philanthropy，military security，and housing security. Looking forward to 2020，with the completion of building a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way，China’s social security system is expected to take further reform measures in the fields of social insurance，social assistance and social welfare，as well as military security and housing security，and make significant progress.
