With the rapid development of China’s society and economy，a series of problems related to the decline of the ecological environment and increased pollution have emerged，which has made the costs of resources and environmental for economic development too large. In the critical period of economic transformation and development，the first condition to solve the current problems is the harmonious development of industry and ecology，that is，the ecological development of industry，reducing energy consumption effectively，and ensuring the coordinated and unified development of nature，economy，and society. Based on the relevant data of 11 prefecture-level cities in Shanxi，this article uses the entropy method to evaluate the industrial ecological situation in Shanxi. Based on the current status of industrial development in Shanxi，this paper proposes some suggestions focused on sustainable development of energy industry，diversified development of energy products，and high-quality transformation of technological innovation.
