Since the beginning of the 21th century，Shanxi has entered a new stage of development，especially the rapid development of the Service Industry，but there are still gaps with the whole country and even other developed provinces. The development of the Service Industry has new challenges. On the basis of explaining the current situation，problems and causes of the Service Industry in Shanxi，this report concludes that the service industry in Shanxi needs to be improved in terms of its development environment，development basis，and development methods. It also proposes that the service industry will develop high-quality services through benchmarking standards，building clusters，innovative integration zones，cultivating new talents，and cultivating new backbone services. So that the Service Industry in Shanxi can be used as a new driving force for national economic growth.
