In the context of the development of the new era，under the requirements and guidance of new development concepts，all walks of life are seeking high-quality development，and the construction industry is no exception. During Thirteenth Five-Year Plan period，Shanxi’s construction industry puts forward clear development goals，that is，to use five to ten years to achieve overtaking on curved roads，and promote the construction industry to achieve leapfrog development. In order to achieve these development goals，Shanxi must seize opportunities and avoid risks，and continue to reform and innovate in business models，product systems，technology research and development，and talent mechanisms based on a deep understanding of the problems existing in the development of the regional construction industry，adding vitality and inexhaustible momentum to the development of the construction industry in the new era. This report focuses on the problems of innovation development about the construction industry in Shanxi from the four aspects of business model，product，technology，and talent. Based on the development situation at home and abroad，combining with the regional actual situation，it is proposed that Shanxi should adhere to the transformation as the outline，the project as the emphasis，and the reform as the means，innovation as the fundamental，and make great effort to achieve the high-quality development of the construction industry in Shanxi.
