The correct guidance of national policies，the withdrawal of substandard network dramas and the external cooling and internal heat of capital environment constitute the environment of network drama industry. Based on the overall survey and comparative analysis of online dramas broadcast in 2018，we can draw the following conclusions：the overall number of network dramas has increased，phenomenon-level works has decreased，audience awareness has begun to strengthen and the network broadcasting platform has shown a trend of polarization. In terms of themes，the fantasy theme and the campus theme are still popular. There are few masterpieces of suspense-adventurous theme this year comparing with 2017. From the perspective of creation，the joining of traditional film and television drama directors and the exploration of the vertical screen mode that cares about users’ habits have provided strong support for the healthy operation of the online drama industry. But in the dynamic Internet industry，online dramas will inevitably meet the dual challenges of new technologies and innovations. Therefore，analyzing and reflecting on the achievements and problems of the online drama industry in 2018 will provide a huge boost for the development and take-off of the online drama industry.
