The community foundation was born in the United States and gradually expanded globally. In the past years，the American Community Foundation has been deeply embeded in the soil of American society，and has formed a community charity model with American characteristics. In the process of global expansion，community foundations have formed two typical models：the bank model and the aggregation model. Based on the global experience，the China Community Foundation has gradually formed a more mature operation system from the three aspects of internal governance，resource linking and project operation. However，in general，Chinese community foundations are still in their Initial stage. It’s very important to take root in China’s local system and cultural environment further，facing the practice of community governance，and explore community foundation models with Chinese characteristics.
