“Old neighborhood in Shijingshan District” is a general name for people who live，work，love，care and build Shijingshan；they are the practitioners of Shijingshan’s master spirit，the practitioners of people’s city people build，people’s city people manage”，and Synonymous with practitioners of “fine governance，co-governance，rule of law”；a collection of enthusiastic people serving the people，leaders of deliberative democracy，inheritors of excellent culture，and guardians of civilized society. This characteristic appellation，which has a strong human flavor and reflects countless neighbors’ watching and helping each other，has become the backbone of promoting grass-roots social governance in Shijingshan District. The article analyzes the experience and advantages of governance from three aspects：the development background，brand building and achievements of the “Old Neighborhood”，and then makes reflections on this basis to further promote grass-roots social governance.
