Community is the first line of defense for prevention and control of public health events，and plays an important role at the grassroots level. The grass-roots public health service system and community public health event prevention and control system in Beijing have been gradually improved and played an important role. However，it also exposed some problems. It is suggested that the community public health prevention and control work should be strengthened in the future，including strengthening the planning and guidance，strengthening the community prevention and control organization system and professional coordination guidance，strengthening the talent reserve and building the grassroots public health reserve team，improving the control and storage mechanism and optimizing the community information system，and the construction of humanistic care mechanism.
