Hangzhou’s urban development is moving from the “development along the river and across the river” to the new era of “development along the river”. With the concept of “grasping protection and no overdeveloping”，Hangzhou is fully promoting the action of “Gather around the River to Development”，being based on whole city，focusing on the Qiantang River，establishing a world-class waterfront area where there is a green and efficient modern industrial belt. Looking at the upstream Qiandao Lake，the middle reaches Xin’an River，the Fuchun River and the downstream Qiantang River，the industrial development foundations，resource endowments and development requirements are different in each basin. It is imperative to coordinate the relationship between industrial development and ecological protection，overall and local，to upgrade the traditional industrial structure in each region and to coordinate the regional industrial development. Through targeted field visits，in-depth interviews，and literature review of the research team，this report focuses on the construction of ecological civilization and strengthening the coordinated development of the city，analyzes the status quo and problems of industrial coordination in Hangzhou，and compares the domestic and international development experience of the big river basin cities，puts forward some countermeasures including specifying planning and guidance，optimizing the industrial space layout；strengthening the city’s overall co-ordination，establishing a regional industrial coordination mechanism；optimizing the livable environment，and attracting the new economy with beautiful scenery；strengthening the innovation drive，promoting the high-quality development of the industrial platform；perfecting supporting support，offering suggestions such as further optimizing the business environment，with a view to providing ideas for the coordinated development of regional industries in the integrated development process of Hangzhou and even the Yangtze River Delta.
