In recent years，with the growing scale of study tourin China，the accidents have been increasing year by year. The overall trend of study toursecurity in China is mainly manifested in such aspects as diversified types，wide spatial and temporal distribution，various hidden dangers，difficult to prevent，thus the security situation is not so optimistic. A case-analysis method is adopted in this paper to analyze the spatial-temporal distribution，type characteristics and influencing factors of China’s study tour safety accidents in 2019 respectively. The paper has found that accidental injuries，facilities and equipment accidents，and disease accidents have accounted for the main types of accidents. Also，there is a certain correlation between the time and space distribution of study tour safety accidents，which reveals itself not only in the higher proportion of study tour safety accidents during the summer vacation and in economically developed areas，but also in the usual combination of various factors，such as the study touradministration department，study tour organizations，and subjects of study tour，that exert influences on the safety of study tour. Based on the outlook for the safety of study tour in China in 2020，the following management suggestions are put forward：to meet market demand，the development of high-quality study tour products should be accelerated；to enhance students’ awareness of safety protection，safety education should be popularized and strengthened；to build professional study tour teaching teams，safety training should be provided and promoted；and to build a sound safety management mechanism，efforts should be stepped up in supervising.
