Oil and gas pipeline is an important national infrastructure and people’s livelihood project. The oil and gas pipeline carries the transportation of important energy to maintain the operation of the city. The safety of the pipeline is affected by many dangerous factors. Pipeline transportation plays an important role in guaranteeing Beijing’s economic development，promoting people’s livelihood，social stability and national defense. In view of the existing problems in the protection of oil and gas pipelines，this paper analyzes the requirements of oil and gas pipeline protection management，and builds a support system of oil and gas pipeline protection management information，which includes basic pipeline information，management information，hidden danger information，high consequence areas and high-risk pipeline sections.
