Within the context of growing problems with waste and insignificant effects of local authority-led efforts in waste separation over the past years，there have been many forces in China’s civic society which are practicing the concept of “Zero Waste” in various ways，demonstrating its feasibility and remarkable effects through their action. The experience of these environmental NGOs，communities，schools and companies can be replicated and let more people see that we are actually not far from the goal of zero waste.
