Landfills are the world’s main and primary infrastructure for waste treatment. This paper describes the insufficient capacity of landfills in China，and analyzes landfill capacity-specific measures，such as the ban on raw waste burying，the exploitation of existing waste，and landfill restoration，as well as the resulting problems in combination with China’s latest policy and plan regarding waste burying and disposal. It also offers recommendations on sustainable waste landfilling in this country.
