The article gives an overview of China’s environmental governance background and overall development trends in recent years. The overall changes in China’s environment from 2018 to 2019 are analyzed in detail from the aspects of water，atmosphere，soil and solid waste. In general，the management of water，air，soil and solid waste are good. In recent years，China has adopted a series of measures，including extended producer responsibility，“Three Lines and One List”，environmental protection supervision，pollution permits，and environmental protection technology projects，all of which have a positive impact on China’s environmental governance. In addition，the general report also reviewed the importance of a series of environmental governance actions，such as the Prohibition of Foreign Garbage Entry，the construction of Zero-Waste Cities，the revised draft of the Prevention and Control of Environment Pollution Caused by Solid Wastes，marine garbage and microplastics，and the green One Belt and One Road Initiative. These actions prove China’s determination to build an ecological civilization. With China’s strong environmental governance，China’s influence in the international environmental field will also increase in the future.
