The competitiveness index of China’s NEV industry has been published for consecutive six years，becoming an important indicator for judging the development direction of China’s NEV industry. Based on the main national NEV industry quantitative data and expert qualitative scores in 2019，this paper uses the comprehensive index method and analytic hierarchy process to evaluate the competitiveness index of China’s NEV industry. The results show that the international competitiveness of China’s NEV industry in 2019 is basically same as last year and the competitiveness index ranks third. The continuous introduction of NEV support policies，continuous fermentation of the effectiveness of the issued policies and joint efforts of the entire industry have stabilized the competitiveness of the NEV industry.
