Local support policies are important measures to promote the promotion and application of NEVs. This paper comprehensively summarizes the local policies of NEV since 2019，focuses on the analysis of NEV policy tool-kits and implementation effects in typical cities where the promotion and application of NEVs are in place，such as Beijing，Shanghai，Guangzhou and Shenzhen，and summarizes policy experience for reference. Finally，the targeted policy improvement suggestions are put forward in respects of supporting the updating of stock fuel vehicles to NEVs，continuously increasing preferential support for the use，implementing NEV transportation privilege support policies，strengthening the construction and operation support of charging and power exchange infrastructure，creating a fair and open market competition environment，etc.
