This article analyzes the selection of X and Y zones as typical cases and uses them as the specific basis for new governance practices brought by the country's top-down penetration and social bottom-up growth. First, as a sample of investigation, Zone X and Zone Y can better help us analyze and explore how the two-way interaction between the state and society shapes the social governance of the community. The second is that the X and Y areas are typical areas of community governance innovation in Guangdong Province and even across the country. Governance experience has its own characteristics. Through case comparisons, more refined continuous research on community governance can be contributed.
