This study is not intended to directly "solve" and "answer" the question of how to smooth the digital drop. This article is rooted in a 2003 study of married women withdrawing from their personal Internet use, and a 2011 study of married women withdrawing from the family ’s entertainment technology Wii, from women ’s withdrawal, rejection, and non-use. The technology at home with the whole family began to re-examine the data and analyze the social, cultural, family context and mechanism of married women's withdrawal from communication technology, in an attempt to learn from the experience of married women withdrawing to two completely different communication technologies. Women's situation asks basic questions about use and retirement. At the same time, as the field of communication gradually deepens the level and meaning of the "retirement" concept, this research returns to relevant research materials, hoping to deepen the understanding of the relationship between gender and communication technology in Taiwan through dialogues discovered in different periods of research.
