Based on a systematic review of Wuhan’s traffic construction and development achievements in the past 10 years and an objective assessment of the current overall situation of urban transportation operation，the article deeply researched and clarified the internal mechanism that urban transportation relies on smooth and efficient operation during the period of rapid growth of vehicle ownership. Researched and judged the future trends and challenges of transportation development，and proposed the strategies and suggestions of recent transportation development.
