This article analyzes Chinese medicine hospitalswith perspectives of geographical distribution，competitiveness index and balance index. The findings of the analysis is that the gap between regions still exists，and the amount of superior Chinese medicine resources in the eastern region is higher than that in the central and western regions. The provinces with better development are Jiangsu Province and Guangdong province. In Jiangsu province and Guangdong province，there are many advantages of Chinese medicine resources and high competitiveness. The imbalance in the province is particularly obvious in the western region，and medical resources are concentrated in provincial city. The development of non-public Chinese medicine hospitals is slow. In the construction of informatization，there is a big gap between Chinese medicine hospitals and comprehensive western medicine hospitals，and information construction should be strengthened. At the same time，Chinese medicine hospitals should strengthen talent construction In the western region，the characteristics of Chinese medicine and ethnic medicine should be manifested.
