This report makes a comprehensive analysis of the development status of the elderly care service in China. Through investigation and analysis，it points out that in recent years，the elderly care service industry has introduced policies intensively and the system has been preliminarily established，showing rapid development. On the other hand，the service supply is insufficient，the elder’s ability to pay is weak，and the development is unbalanced and uncoordinated. At present，the elderly care service is in a critical period of development，which is mainly reflected in that the nursing concept and mode are in the transformation period，the market is still in the cultivation period，the long-term care insurance is in exploration，and the supporting industries such as nursing aids and nursing training are still in the beginning stage. The development experience of aged care services in Beijing，Shanghai，Guangzhou are summarized，such as public construction private operation，paying attention to the quality specification，giving full play to the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine characteristics. Based on the analysis of typical enterprise cases of elderly nursing service industry and the development trend of international nursing service industry，this paper points out that China’s elderly nursing service presents four development trends，such as the integration of nursing and health management and puts forward corresponding development suggestions.
