Under the guidance of policies，capital catalysis，marketization of doctors’ resources，Internet + new technology application and continuous improvement of payment methods，health management institutions have formed a pattern of public medical institutions as the mainstay and private medical institutions as the supplement. However，behind the booming and rapid expansion of private health management institutions，some chaotic problems in the development process have also been exposed，such as significant differences in the content and quality of health management services between regions and institutions，and the overall level of professional services were needed to be improved. This report is a summary of the results of the 2019 “Research on Competitiveness Evaluation of Private Health Management Institutions” conducted by Zhongguancun Xinzhiyuan Health Management Research Institute. The report explored the current status of the health management institutions both under the private hospitals and as the independent health management institutions. From the four dimensions of resource allocation，service capabilities，service quality and safety，and brand integrity，we analyzed the preliminary achievements，pain points and blockages of constructions of private health management institutions and proposed corresponding countermeasures and suggestions. At the same time，we forecasted the development trend of large-scale，digitalization，industrial chain extension，and health management service ecosystem closed loop.
