The global LCD panel industry still suffered from recession throughout 2011, with product prices plummeting significantly. The price of large-size panel declined by over 50% compared to the highest point before the Financial Crisis in Nov., 2011. The plummeting price widened the industry loss. On the other hand, mid- and small-size panel market was fairly stable and drew fierce competition, thanks to the strong demands. We analyze the reasons and believe that the crystal cycle, business cycle, along with the ecosystem of domestic LCD industry, made the situations even worse. We expect that large-size panel market will remain stagnant while mid- and small-size panel market will hopefully improve.
