As the urban size expands and the operation system becomes increasingly complex，all kinds of production and living elements are concentrated greatly. Due to mismatching of urban control capacity and urban development speed，urban safety hazards occur occasionally that the safety issue becomes the weakness inhibiting urban high quality development. The issue of urban safety concerns about people’s living and working in contentment，social stability and order and also lasting political stability. As required for urban sophisticated governance，oriented at the issue of governance of urban safety hazards and concentrated on the fields of safety hazards governance in Beijing. This study describes the regional distribution，type，features and status of urban safety hazards in Beijing through data and case analysis. Thus to explore the existing weaknesses in the process of urban safety hazards governance. Accordingly，it puts forwards countermeasures and suggestions for establishing governance mechanism for urban safety hazards with Beijing characteristics.
