Optimizing business environment is a crucial component for advancing high-quality development. During 2017-2019，China’s business environment had been reformed and achieved significant results. This article reviewed the policy environment of the business environment reform in recent years，based on the experiences in advanced areas，practical explorations of the business environment reform achieved by Guangzhou Development District and the gap between advanced areas and GDD，proposing countermeasures and suggestions in four aspects which include improving business environment assessment system，utilizing the advantages in business environment reform，rectifying the deficiencies in business environment assessment，and optimizing supporting environment.
