In 2018，Chongzuo City kept a good momentum of steady progress and made sound achievement in promoting the construction of the Pearl River-Xijiang River Economic Belt. It saw a faster industrial transformation and upgrading with its economy developing with higher quality. Continued efforts were made in deepening reform and opening-up and improving business environment. An increasingly prominent new type of urbanization emerged amid the coordinated development between urban and rural areas. With stronger protection of the ecological environment，cultural tourism ushered in a new chapter of development. The overall reinforcement in people’s livelihood construction brought about more sense of gain is acquired. But Chongzuo City is still facing problems like the need for further implementation of rural revitalization，many constraints on wider opening-up and cooperation，and the high cost of enterprise production factors. Chongzuo City will play a leading role in effectively aligning with the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the ASEAN for opening-up and cooperation. It will speed up the upgrading of trade and processing，contributing to the construction of the Pearl River-Xijiang River Economic Belt.
