Since the 18^th National Congress of the Communist Party of China，the economic and social development of the Tumen River area in China has been developing steadily. The report analyzes the difficulties faced by Tumen River area in China in their economic and social development under the new circumstances of the positive signal released by North Korea，the rise of unilateralism and trade protectionism，and the construction of a new development pattern of the world by the “Belt and Road”，the fourth industrial revolution and the application of 5G technology，and proposes suggestions of building a regional community with a shared future by taking the Tumen River area in China as a hub，actively guiding foreign capitals into the regional industries in a balanced manner，and at the same time promoting the construction of road infrastructure to connect with the “Belt and Road”，and building a path to foster and introduce long-term talents to support the development of China’s Tumen River area.
