Istanbul is the largest city in Turkey. It is the economic，financial，news，trade，transportation，cultural and historical center of Turkey. It is a world-famous tourist resort and one of the prosperous international metropolises. This paper describes and analyzes the development status and development trends of Istanbul through the aspects of Istanbul’s general situation，economic development，industrial development and regional influence，in order to provide basic information for the relevant decisions of the Belt and Road.
