Since 2014，the Paris region has implemented the 2030 strategic plan for the Paris region，and initiated the construction of metropolitan areas. The Paris region is characterized by diversity，and pays attention to enhancing the connection between cities and suburbs，so as to build regional sustainable development. The implementation of the Paris region mainly promotes the development of regional integration from the three aspects of connection and organization，agglomeration and balance，protection and value-added，focusing on the daily and living environment of residents in the Paris region today and in the future，and improving the attraction and influence of the Paris region. On the basis of studying the vision，goals，challenges and strategies of Paris region towards 2030，this paper proposes the enlightenment for the integration construction of Yangtze River Delta and the planning experience of Shanghai metropolitan area.
