With the implementation of the strategy of ruling the country by law，the continuous advancement of the construction of Safe China，and the modernization of the social governance system，the overall crime situation in China has been improving continuously. In 2019，the terrorist crime had been effectively contained：the high crime incident situation had been put under control，and the rate of the crime had basically dropped to zero；under the favorable conditions created by the Special Campaign against Crime Syndicates，the rate of serious violent crimes continued to drop and the crime detection rate maintained at a relatively satisfactory level；at the same time，however，crimes of telemarketing scams and internet fraud，endangering public security and disrupting economic order still occurred frequently and caused great harms to society. In 2020，China should step up the effort to fight against crimes of endangering public security，crimes of disrupting economic order，crimes against property and crimes against women and children，continuously enhance the people’s sense of safety，and build a higher-level Safe China.
