In 2019，legislative organs in China had focused on the central work of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council，closely kept up with reform needs，abided by the law of legislation，speeded up the updating of legislation，filled in legislative gaps，timely responded to the people’s expectation for good life，and achieved marked results in the legislative work. More specifically，they had increased the efforts on economic legislation to continuously optimize business environment，improved the accuracy of the linkage between legislation and reform to ensure the law-based and orderly implementation of major reform measures，prioritized the legislation in the field of the people’s livelihood to advance in a coordinated way the legislation in social，cultural and ecological fields and timely respond to public concerns，strengthened the legislative recordation and review work to advance the effective implementation of the Constitution，and clearly established the power of the National Supervisory Commission to adopt administrative regulations on supervision，intensified the efforts to listen to the opinions of those at grassroots levels，improved the system of disclosure of legislative information，continuously innovated legislative systems and mechanisms，and improved legislative quality and efficiency.
