Staging of Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition has had some significant impacts on Yanqing district’s economic development. The paper argues that staging of International Horticultural Exhibition has introduced a large amount of investment to Yanqing district，improved the local infrastructure，and accelerated the significant development of the local industries，especially construction and tourism. Through the practice of International Horticultural Exhibition，the paper argues that Yanqing district shall further improve the local infrastructure as well as other tourism related facilities，raise the quality of services，and continue to enhance tourism industry to boost the local economic development.
