As the largest and most widely distributed cultural heritage in China，the Great Wall is faced with many complicated problems in heritage practices. The current situation，problems and trends of its protection and uses epitomize the uses of cultural heritage in China. This study not only divided the uses of Great Wall into two categories：touchable uses and untouchable uses，but systematically analyzed and evaluated its various ways of uses. We found that tourism has become the main way of Great Wall uses，whose various use degrees have positive effects on its comprehensive benefits and heritage conservation. Moreover，the comprehensive benefits of touchable uses are obviously higher than the untouchable ones，for the better protection and uses of Great Wall in the future which should be paid more attention to.
